I think morning walks are sometimes underappreciated.
As much as it is really fascinating to see the bustling city, sidewalks full of ponies and people on their day - cars, busses, and bikes traveling down the road. Mornings, especially early mornings, have their own charm. You get to see everyone sort of "behind the scenes". A peek behind the curtain, if you will!
You're able to see baristas changing the board outside the cafe to whatever the day's special is. Deliveries making a stop at each store so that they're able to stock up on ingredients. People and ponies going to the stalls to set up for the day. Volunteers cleaning up the road. It seems weird, but it's like - alright let me get an analogy for this. I like eating cake as much as the next pony, but I also like seeing how the cake was made. The expertise needed to measure out the right ingredients - making sure the flavors are delicious without being too much, baking the cake into perfection, and then putting the decorations on it. All of those things often goes unnoticed but to those who are in the bakery, only seeing the end result of the finished cake. Not for me, I appreciate both the outcome and the process to it!
Coming back to early mornings, I also want to mention that noise. Just loud enough to not be overbearing - not too many ponies and people, and not too many vehicles honking around. Yet, at the same time - still there so that it doesn't feel empty wandering around. Oh! And the sunrise. Seeing the night sky slowly fade into the distance as the sun rises from the horizon, eager to start the new day. It looks so beautiful seeing the gradient color of the sky! Plus, there's an added benefit of having the cold air of the night if you stroll early enough!
Before I get told at, this is not just an Earth thing. I even do morning strolls back at Equus! Though, merits to our world - our streets aren't as loud as Earth's, well, comparing to the streets near me anyways.
So! If you're able to - sleep early, wake up early, get some breakfast, and do a morning stroll. You get to see everyone setting up, feel the cold morning air. And hey! If you're stressed about work, or having trouble with a problem, it's a pretty good distraction as you make your subconscious solve the problem.
That's all I have for now. I hope you all have a wonderful day everypony! ^_^ /)
